Mason City High School Associate Principal Chris Krueger has been named the 2026 Iowa Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year by the School Administrators of Iowa (SAI)!
Since joining MCHS in 2022, Mr. Krueger has made an incredible impact - from expanding opportunities in Career and Technical Education and launching the Freshman Success class, to initiating the Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) program and elevating the English Learner (EL) program to record levels of success. His leadership has led to higher attendance, improved academic performance, and a record number of EL graduates.
Beyond the data, Mr. Krueger's steady optimism, care, and respect for others have built meaningful connections across the school community.
